Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is all class
Its six-liter engine purrs silently then revs to a whop-ping 620 horsepower. Its sleek design begs no question of style. It exudes luxury.
It is the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, and it’s the epitome of style and sophistication.
First introduced at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, this sleek two-seater sports car is all class and first-rate image and performance. Top Gear Magazine named it the Supercar of the Year in 2006. Ferraris are known for peak performance and racetrack quality ability, and the 599 GTB Fiorano is no exception.
“If Ferrari began by constructing a racing car, it is also true that from this model came a Ferrari destined for the road,” states Ferrari’s Web site.
Fiorano comes from the track used to perfect the performance of Ferrari’s cars, the GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta (Berlinetta is the Italian word for Coupe) and the numbers 599 stands for the displacement of the V12 engine divided by 10.
This all-aluminum sports car promises 0 to 62 mph in as little as 3.7 seconds, but some have found the car to accelerate even quicker. The maximum speed reported is 205 mph.
The 599 GTB Fiorano was designed to replace the popular 575M Maranello. With its sleek design and superb craftsmanship, the 599 GTB Fiorano handles easily and provides peak driving pleasure.
It is a car of pure luxury. When purchasing a Ferrari, you’re not only purchasing a great automobile, but also an image – one that will surely get you noticed on Oahu. With a price tag of more than $250,000 Ferraris are in a league all their own.
When introducing the 599 GTB, Ferrari engineers were not only interested in creating a car for the high-speed thrill drivers, but also delivering a more driver-friendly automobile. If you can call going from 0 to 60 in less than 3 seconds “driver friendly.”
To show just how superior their product was, but also how functional it could be, Ferrari took the 599 GTB Fiorano on a 20,000 mile drive from Brazil to New York in a marketing attempt that garnered a lot of attention. During the extended road trip across 16 countries, only minimum mechanical changes were required in the two Ferraris completing the voyage.
Ferraris are considered the most desired car to own and drive, and this model does not disappoint. It’s a car that states “you have arrived,” and you can arrive there very quickly.
