This year’s March of Dimes Governor’s Ball honored Dennis Francis with the organization’s Franklin Delano Roosevelt Award for Distinguished Community Service. Guests channeled their suave-est Don Draper and the rest of the characters from Sterling Cooper, referencing the evenings’ theme, Mad Men. Steven Boyle Design transformed the Sheraton Waikiki Ballroom into a chic ’60s lounge. There were no high-pressure pitches this night, though; just a celebration of the work that March of Dimes does to improve the health of babies. Event chairs, Kitty Lagareta, Dave Kennedy, Gabe Lee and Stanford Carr treated guests to a gourmet dinner, a visit by Marilyn Monroe and the previously-unknown connection between Dennis Francis and Don Draper.
