Make-A-Wish Hawaii’s Waffles For Wishes

Whiffs of whipped butter and honey syrup dripping over warm honey waffles—which went like, well, hot cakes—lured hungry attendees to Make- A-Wish Hawaii’s first Waffles For Wishes. The “champagne-chic” Sunday brunch mixed a.m. libations with plates prepped by haute HNL eateries including Morimoto and The Pig & The Lady. The joint Courtyard Brunch fundraiser with Howard Hughes Corporation, held in the IBM Courtyard, marked Make-A-Wish Hawaii’s first Young Leaders Board event. The board is dedicated to supporting the non-profit mission, as well as fostering networking among Hawai‘i’s upcoming young professionals.
